Icebreaker Friendship Tournament
An all-girls hockey weekend built around competition, connection, confidence, and the kind of memories that bring players back next year.
Come for the hockey. Leave with your people.
Icebreaker is designed differently. Players and goalies register individually, choose their division, and are placed on balanced teams—so no one needs a full roster to be part of the weekend.
It is competitive, welcoming, and made entirely for girls who love the game. One friend request can be included, then the rest of the weekend is an opportunity to meet new teammates and build real confidence on and off the ice.
For some players, it is their first chance to be surrounded by an entire rink full of girls who share their love of hockey. For others, it is a return to the teammates, mentors, and memories that made them feel at home last year. Everyone arrives ready to play; everyone leaves with a bigger sense of what they can be part of.
That is the point of Icebreaker: great hockey, real connection, and a weekend that helps every player feel that there is room for her in the game.

The weekend starts before puck drop.
From the opening celebration to the final handshake line, Icebreaker is designed to give players, families, and guests a shared experience—not just a game schedule.
Hockey meets possibility.
Icebreaker puts girls in the middle of a real hockey community. The 2026 experience grew beyond games to include learning, mentorship, celebration, and direct access to people who have built careers in the sport.
That annual feeling—the chance to play, meet new people, and picture a future in hockey—is what the tournament is here to create.
Optional on-ice development, recovery, mentorship, photos, and live Q&A with professional and university athletes.
An evening of honest conversation and inspiration from people who have experienced the game at its highest levels.
Music, special guests, giveaways, and a chance for players and families to meet, mingle, and celebrate the weekend together.
Practical conversations around officiating, confidence, recovery, education, scholarships, volunteering, and coaching in women’s sport.
Get in early.
The Friendship Tournament returns every year. Registration for the 2027 Icebreaker is expected to open in December 2026. Individual player and goalie spots are limited, and the event has grown quickly—so early registration is the best way to secure a place.
Players register individually, select their division, and can make one friend request. We build balanced teams so every participant can compete, connect, and belong.
Friendship is the point.
Icebreaker gives girls a place to compete, feel seen, and discover that hockey can belong to them too. See what the 2026 tournament was built around, then stay close for 2027 registration.
